Provedli jsme výzkum našich výrobků, abychom informovali uživatele o skutečných rizicích a bezpečnosti našich výrobků.
When applying Pure fertilizer to the lawn, it is important to remember that the kibble may attract dogs and they may try to eat them. Pure organo-mineral fertilizers contain cocoa husks, which contain theobromine, a compound that is also found in chocolate and in large quantities can be toxic to dogs. The amount of theobromine that is dangerous for a dog depends on its size, with toxicity starting at around 200 mg per kg body weight.
At Pure, we care deeply about the safety and health of your pets. We analysed the amount of theobromine in our products and found that Pure Sport & Golf contains 2476 mg of theobromine per kg of product, while Pure Autumn is higher - 3271 mg per kg of product. To help pet owners understand the risks, we've created a simple spreadsheet that shows when a dog may be at risk. For example, a small dog weighing 10 kg would poison itself with 2000,807 mg of theobromine, which would require it to consume 611 g of Pure Sport & Golf or 600 g of Autumn.
However, it is important to remember that when applied to the lawn, the amount of Pure fertilizer that the dog would have to consume to poison itself is quite large. With a maximum application of 30 g per m2, the dog would have to consume all the fertilizer from 20 m2 to reach toxic levels.
While Pure is generally safe to use Pure on the dog's lawn, it is important to keep it out of the reach of children and pets to avoid accidental ingestion. Eating fertilizer is not healthy for dogs, but when used responsibly, it should not pose a direct health risk.
If your dog happens to consume fertiliser, it's important to take quick action. We recommend the following steps
Contact your veterinarian: Call your veterinarian or your local emergency animal clinic immediately. Provide them with information about your dog's size, the amount of fertilizer ingested and the type of fertilizer. The veterinarian will be able to determine the degree of toxicity and advise you on further action.
Watch your dog's symptoms: Monitor your dog and watch for his symptoms. Symptoms of theobromine toxicity may include vomiting, diarrhoea, restlessness, hyperactivity, rapid heartbeat, seizures and, in severe cases, even death.
Follow your veterinarian's instructions: Your veterinarian may recommend inducing vomiting, giving activated charcoal or providing supportive care to your dog. Strictly follow his instructions and do not try to treat your dog without veterinary guidance.
By using and storing Pure fertilizer responsibly and acting quickly in case of accidental ingestion, you will help ensure that your furry friends stay safe and healthy while enjoying your lawn.
